Who has not dreamed of spending a holiday far away from civilisation: just a log cabin, a lake for fishing and nothing but nature? Hideaway is the only property on a lake with three small islands in the forests between Venjan and Mora.

Venjan is the nearest village and has a small grocery shop and a petrol station. For larger shopping trips, Mora is around 35 kilometres away.

Fishing, paddling, picking berries and mushrooms or simply relaxing by the water: around the cabin, nature sets the pace. The lake is mainly home to pike and perch. A rowing boat, a canoe and several kayaks are available for excursions.

Blueberries, lingonberries and many mushrooms grow throughout the area in late summer and autumn. With a little luck, you may spot elk nearby, while bears, wolves and lynx are seen much less frequently.

In winter, snow and cold transform the landscape. At the same time, getting there becomes more challenging: the final kilometres along the forest road are not regularly cleared. We therefore only rent Hideaway in winter to guests who already know it from a previous stay.
